C1 chemical research:
HighChem Co., Ltd., Ube Industries, Ltd., East China Engineering Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Liansheng Chemical Engineering Co. Ltd., jointly owned the syngas glycol (CTEG) technology patent and proprietary technology. Although the technology has matured, as an important part of the joint business, HighChem has set up a special R&D team to optimize the production technology, provide advanced technological trend for the industry, provide users high value-added technology path, and provide the society environment-friendly chemical production technology.
The catalyst plant does not only provide catalyst production and recycling service, but also conducts catalyst research and development. The research team evaluates each batch of catalyst and optimizes them to improve the space-time conversion rate of the catalyst, and provides users efficient and stable catalysts.
Glycol downstream applications:
There is a debate about whether the syngas ethylene glycol (CTEG) can replace the petroleum ethylene glycol method in the chemical industry. HighChem bravely takes the role as a " practitioner " . HighChem distributes the products produced by Xinjiang Tianye’s 50,000ton/year ethylene glycol facility and made experimental replacement among downstream polyester producers, and successfully achieved 100% use of CTEG in polyester filament yarn( PFY ) production, and achieved 50% use of CTEG in plastic bottle chip production.
